    "Joy Machine" features essays from art historians, designers and curators, along with Jeffie's own words. With full color photographs, sketches and process documents that span the course of Jeffie's career, readers will learn exclusive insights on what makes Jeffie's sculptures are so memorable, and how they might be inspired by them.

    About Jeffie

    Jeffie Brewer grew up in rural East Texas. As the son of eccentric junkyard owners, he learned to spot beauty in the mundane, developed an array of industrial skills and soon discovered a knack for drawing. 

    Those early revelations and combined skills have translated into a rewarding career as a professor and an an artist, and have earned him placement in public and private art collections, museums and galleries across the country.
